Lauren Blakely - The Sapphire Affair - S3 - 3.5

This is a start to a new series so it was a little slow getting into it.  There is character setup and a story to develop.  It seems everyone is jumping on the band wagon of having a continuing back story through different books.  I like it, it keeps a consistent flow through the books while getting a better feel for the characters.  I don't believe this author has done much of that in the past so only time will tell how the next book goes.  I am looking forward to it.

Brenda Novak - Discovering You - S2, 4.0

I know this is a little light for my usual reading choice, but you would understand if you have read any of the Whiskey Creek series.  I have loved them all.  It's a great selection of characters and diverse backgrounds that makes every book interesting and different.  I recommend them all.
Helen Hardt - Possession - S3, 3

I might be a little hard scoring this book as I wasn't thrilled with the first two.  This book is much better but has it's issues too.  The first book (Craving) I found slow and too much push/pull for my liking.  The second book (Obsession) was better.  Had more story line and the characters got a little more involved.  In this third book there are a lot of loose ends to clean up so the pace is fast.  Which is good for the story but the pace is completely different when you look at the series as a whole.  I would of liked more consistently in the pace and story line through out.  You decide.

Christina Lauren - Beautiful - S3, 4.0

The ending to a really good series.  It took me awhile to read the first one because of the title (Beautiful Bastard) but once in, you stay the course.  The sweet series are friends to this series so you hear character names back and forth which lets you really get comfortable with the characters within both series.  It was cool how they came back to each couple in the end so you had closure and more information on how each couple moved forward.  I look forward to reading more from these two.

Jackie Ashenden - S3, 4
You are mine, Mine to take, Make you Mine, Kidnapped by the billionaire.

A new author for me.  Her books have gotten better and better with each one I read.  In the above series there is a continuing back story through each one as the romance develops with each couple.  It is well done and interesting.  A couple took a little to get into but once there you are hooked.
Scarlett Cole - The Strongest Steel, The Fractured Heart, The Purest Hook -  S3, 4.0

I gather this is another e author that has managed to get published.  I wish more good ones would.  I really enjoy these books. The characters are strong with good story development.  You can't go wrong with guys with tattoos.  She is being added to my list of favourites to watch for.

Helen Hardt - Craving and Obsession

I have to say something about the above author.  This author is getting a lot of publicity at the moment and people are hearing its the next 50 shades.  I really didn't like it.  The characters are not strong enough for me and there is too much push/pull between the characters.  How many broken billionaires do we need to read about.  I found the second book slightly better than the first but not enough story development on top of the weak characters.  Sorry not my favourite.
I kind of got busy reading and forgot about updating this, sorry.  I have been reading lots but here are some of my new favourites.

Number 1 on the list of favourites is Calendar Girls by Audrey Carlan.  It is the best series I have read since 50 shades which I read 4 times.  It's different than the usual contemporary romance in that its her story through the year, who she meets, why she has to do what she does and what she learns along the way.  I highly recommend it.

2.  The Strongest Steel series has been coming out in print by Scarlett Cole.  I am really liking them and hope to see all 4 installments so far in print so everyone can enjoy them.  That's my problem with finding E authors.

3.  I have been reading and enjoying Jackie Ashenden.  Her first book needed a little work with character development but she came into her own with the second and every book thereafter.  Strong characters both women and men who won't take any shit.

4.  I have read every book Roni Loren has ever written.  I love everyone of them.  She has a couple of primary series, one being a BDSM club.  Again strong characters and good story development.

I have over 40 authors that I keep track of and when their new books come out but I am always looking for new authors to try.  Feel free to make a comment of any you think I should try. Enjoy and keep on reading!
